The Matho Nagrang Festival, held at Matho Monastery near Leh, is one of Ladakh’s most mystical and spiritual experiences. Once a year, two monks enter intense meditation for weeks and emerge during this festival as oracles, believed to be possessed by divine spirits. The two-day celebration includes Cham dances, oracle rituals, and ceremonial healing, attracting locals from across Ladakh.
